This study evaluates the efficacy of intravenous (IV)
ketamine and antidepressant augmentation in patients
with difficult-to-treat depression (DTD). Through a
comparative analysis of symptom reduction and effect
size, the study aims to determine the relative
effectiveness of these treatment modalities. Results
indicate that IV ketamine provides a more substantial
reduction in depressive symptoms compared to
antidepressant augmentation alone, with a larger effect
size.
